LONGHORN STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
We have partnered with Kylie Farrell, Founder - Momentum Fitness to provide our athletes with individualized strength & conditioning plans to help better their performance in the weight room and on the baseball field.
Kylie Farrell brings five years of strength and conditioning coaching experience at Franklin High School to the Northeast Longhorns, where she designs the athletes’ training programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Education from Worcester State University, where she played lacrosse and field hockey, and a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Bridgewater State University. She is nearing completion of her master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning at Bridgewater State Univeristy.
Currently a physical education and health teacher at Millbury High School, Kylie’s coaching background also includes five years as varsity field hockey coach at Blackstone-Millville High School, two years coaching JV lacrosse at Northbridge High School, and the past two years as an assistant coach for the Assumption University women’s lacrosse team. Her approach emphasizes developing strength, speed, and confidence through progressive, sport-specific training.
Lifting correctly is essential for baseball players because it helps build strength, power, speed, and explosiveness while reducing the risk of injury. Proper technique ensures athletes develop the right movement patterns, improve their overall athleticism, and transfer their strength onto the field, whether it is hitting, throwing, running, or fielding. Our goal for our athletes is to build a stronger, more powerful & more durable version of themselves so they can perform at a high-level throughout the entirety of the season.
In addition to the S&C programs - we have upgraded our facility to adding a weight room for our athletes. All Longhorns players will have access to the weight room (through sign-ups) as a part of being in the program! We will only allow a specific number of athletes to use the weight room at a time to provide them with enough space/equipment to get their work in.
